The hotel certainly has flashes of that gaudy club-chic aesthetic—think crystals, white chairs and blue lights—but overall it's clean and modern. When you walk into the lobby, it feels luxurious, not like some third-rate banquet hall, and that's a big step up for LA casinos. The rooms, too, are surprisingly handsome and affordable; traditional king setups start just under $120 a night, with suites from $150. Of course, if you're feeling like a baller, you may want to opt for the $1,500 suite. The views aren't much to brag about—unless you find power lines and the 710 exciting—but you can catch a glimpse of downtown los angeles from west-facing rooms.

On the other hand, the actual casino part—with the exception of a new VIP room—is the same as it ever was. That high-roller atmosphere dissipates when you turn the corner into the colossal card room (there are over 200 tables) and find mostly men seemingly on their lunch breaks playing a few rounds of poker. That's kind of LA gambling in a nutshell; you won't find slot machines or roulette wheels, nor will you find traditional dealers. And often the AI calls you on the worst hands. The dealer flops three spades and I instantly go all in. Guess what? Two people called me. And one had a queen high and the other had a pair of 10s! They called $4000 with absolutely nothing. Two players calling with nothing in their pockets and an obvious possibility that the guy who just went all in flopped a flush? That's terrible. I did flop the flush and I took both of those players out that hand. This type of AI is a constant problem throughout all of the poker games.
What's worse, perhaps, is that this persists online, where many inexperienced players make stupid calls. But you know what, so do I. Why do I care if I lose $1000? It's not real money and there is no way to also bet on games with actual cash. You can't choose to muck your cards or flash them on a fold to psyche out an opponent, which is something I've found in pretty much every online poker game. There is no psychology here, only monotony.
Verdict
If there was any sort of atmosphere at all, bicycle casino could offer some value for amusement's sake, but it's a pretty laughable experience and not one worth the $30. I will say that some will have fun with bicycle casino. It can be a somewhat decent way to pass some time. I can see it as a possible learning tool for someone who doesn't know how to play craps or pai gow. But, honestly, I have played much better video poker online (and yes, there are lots of places you can go that use "play" money). Craps, roulette -- all of it lacks any style or even competent presentation. The animations are barely existent and sometimes hit huge slowdowns online. The retail box copy has crashed on me twice online. Not too promising. I like texas hold'em and I am always up for some fun casino play. This isn't it. If you want to waste $30, just mail me a check and save yourself the trip to the store.

The first thing I noticed after starting a new game was how many different games were available. When you're in the casino lobby, you can select a number of tables to play and also go to a different room to play the video machines and slot machines. Each casino has roulette, craps, big 6 wheel, blackjack, baccarat, various reel and video slot machines, video poker and keno, and a bunch of poker games such as pai gow, caribbean stud, texas hold 'em, omaha hold 'em, 7 card stud, and the classic draw poker.
When you select a game, you'll get a close-up of the table or machine and a window pops up with the basic playing instructions. If you aren't familiar with a particular game, you can expand the help to give detailed information on how the game works, how to bet, etc. Once you're ready to play, place your bet on the table and start the game. The interface for each game is very easy to work with and all the buttons have tool tips. The different buttons will change as each game progresses. For instance, if you are playing blackjack you start by placing your initial bet. The "deal" button will show. After clicking on deal, the cards are dealt and the buttons will change to allow you to hit, stand, double down or surrender. When the hand is complete, the buttons will change to "clear table" and the fun begins all over again. There are also some general option buttons that appear onscreen at all times such as help, exit and navigation bar, which gives you more options including as going to a different casino. Speaking of options, when you start a new game you are presented with a bunch of options such as which player character to use, whether other players are present during the games, audio options, help options and many more game-specific options.
There are three available casinos based on three actual casinos in las vegas: treasure island, the mirage and bellagio. Although the games in each casino are the same, the artwork for some is different. The main difference between each casino is the betting limits available. Treasure island has the lowest, the mirage is in the middle, and bellagio has the highest limits. Bellagio also has a high rollers room that you can only play in after winning a casino challenge or by collecting all the comps available in the game.
There are several types of tournaments available in each casino. Each game has its own tournament and each casino has a tournament that encompasses many different games. The casino challenges are divided into freestyle (where you pick the games you want to play), masters (where the judges pick the games), and poker. After you've spent enough money and played enough games, you'll start to earn "comps." A comp (short for complimentary) is a freebie that hotels in vegas offer players after they've spent a certain amount of money. The game is VERY quick to state that the comps offered in the game are not real and cannot be redeemed for any actual goods or services anywhere (this is plastered on the help screen for the comps). The in-game comps are kind of a cool touch; after you've earned them all, they allow you to play in the high rollers room. I couldn't shake the feeling that they were also blatant in-game advertisements for various goods and services within the real hotels, since they all give a marketing-style description of the good or service you just won.
So what happens if you run out of money? Well, just visit the ATM. The nice thing about this ATM is that in addition to not getting charged a fee for withdrawing money, you can pull out as much as you want, whenever you want. The game keeps track of how much you pull out as compared to your winnings, and keeps various stats about each game you've played. It totals up all these factors to give you a final score, which can be compared with other people who also have set up characters in the game.
Multiplayer support
Unfortunately there is no multiplayer support at all in this game, which is too bad. An online version where you could play with other real people, or even multiplayer on the same machine, would've been a nice touch.
Graphics
I like the graphics a lot. They're clear and crisp and have very nice detail. Each character appears to have been rendered in 3D and they all have very smooth animations. There are a lot of actual photos taken of various parts of the casinos, which you see either during loading screens or when you receive comps. The quality of the full-motion video looks very nice.
Audio
What's a casino without the ambient sound? You have casino-style music appropriate for your particular casino playing in the background (i.E. Calypso music at treasure island). There are ambient sounds such as crowd noises and slot machines playing and paying. The sounds for passing out cards, playing slots, video poker, the big wheel spinning, and (everyone's favorite) cashing out all sound just like what you'd hear in vegas. Each character also injects his or her comments while you're playing various table games. There are a lot of audio options in the game that let you customize exactly what you want and don't want to hear.

Bottom line
This is the best video casino game I've ever played. It has a great selection of games to choose from and a simple interface. The online help is clearly written, which makes it easy for anyone to learn to play any one of the available games; the nice graphics and great sound also add a lot to the game. The addition of comps is a nice touch (although I still think it's shameless advertising). About the only thing missing here is a floppy disk drive that will spit out coins. If you enjoy casino gaming I'd highly recommend this title, which is why I give it a score of 85.

Indiana’s 1851 constitution banned lotteries, historically interpreted by courts to mean all gambling. In 1988, indiana approved a constitutional amendment removing this ban. Within months, cities with economic difficulties had casino proposals.
In 2007, indiana allowed horse tracks to have as many as 2,000 electronic gaming machines. Further, the state legislature approved land-based casinos in 2015. Also, in 2015, the state legislature approved a measure allowing riverboat casinos to move into a land-based casino facility if located on their current property.
The state of indiana has a federally-recognized american indian tribe. In 2015, the pokagon band of potawatomi indians successfully negotiated a tribal-state compact subsequently approved by the U.S. Department of interior.
By the compact’s terms, the tribal casino could only have class II bingo-style gaming machines. In early 2018, the tribe opened its first tribal casino.

Indiana’s tribal casino is the four winds casino south bend located 150 miles north of indianapolis directly east of chicago on the border to michigan. It offers 1,800 class II competition-style gaming machines alongside live poker tables.
Poker has been interpreted in indiana as a skill-based game and, therefore, just another class II game. It is considered a competition-style game as players bet against each other and aren’t betting “against the house” or casino.

Indiana has not set minimum or maximum theoretical payout return limits. Monthly and annual return statistics are available, although none are available from the tribal casino. The annual reports detail return statistics by slot machine denomination.
The IGC’s 2019 annual report has electronic gaming device (EGD) COIN-IN on page 41. The next page has EGD win. Divide WIN by COIN-IN, then subtract the result from 100% to calculate a player’s win percentage.
For your convenience, I have calculated the mid-2018 through mid-2019 player win percentages for each casino below. In addition to an annual report, the indiana gaming commission also offers monthly revenue reports by the 11th of the following month.
Again, use COIN IN and WIN to calculate the player’s win percentage. Unlike the annual reports, these monthly reports do not contain return statistics by slot machine denomination.

The casino with the lowest annual return was, once again, this year, tropicana evansville. Its monthly return was the second-lowest while majestic star II had the lowest.

Preface: there are minimal spoilers in this review, no story spoilers are present, but the essence of what the story is will be touched upon, tread lightly.
Firewatch has been on the radar for many gamers since it was announced 2 years ago, the problem however, is none of us really knew what exactly it is. All that was released about firewatch leading up to it’s launch was that it was a first person exploration game, it followed a firewatch, which is someone who sits in the forest and watches for fires and insures the safety of campers, that takes you on an exploration through the forest that you are stationed in, and that there was a mysterious second character that we would talk to about anything from our job all the way to our life. Even leading up to launch, we saw a lot of gameplay and teasers, but none really showed us exactly what the game was truly about, and that is rare in the industry lately. From leaks to over showing games, very few companies can keep their inner secrets for games under wraps, and campo santo managed to do it. Firewatch released to a community of curious gamers ready to get the next exploration title started, and here we are after launch now knowing exactly what the game finally is, and it is honestly not what I expected. Monster hunter world first impressions
I have a confession to make. Over the past few years, I have loved hunter genre. That being said, I have ignored monster hunter. The franchise that started it all. The franchise that is still arguably the best in the genre. Ever since the series went from playstation to nintendo, I have opted for games like freedom wars, toukiden, and soul sacrifice. Now there is nothing wrong with this. These are all fantastic games. If you are in a situation where you can’t afford or don’t have a console to play the newest monster hunter, I would recommend any of these franchises in an absolute heartbeat. Shadow of the colossus (2018) review
I had heard it all before. “shadow of the colossus is one of the most revolutionary games of all time”. It has been described as one of the greatest games of all time. A game that inspired other games for years after its release. I never played it. Yes. I know. A game critic that has not played one of the highest rated games ever made. Well, when it was announced for PS4, from bluepoint games no less, I knew I had to jump on the wagon as soon as possible. So, does the remake of shadow of the colossus still pack the same punch?
